I'm 37. I'm Not Old

(The above was a bonus Monty Python joke for alert readers)

Would that The Holy Grail were in the list of the 100 Greatest American Movies of All Time. But it's not. It's not even American. Pity.

What is #37 on the list, though, is The Best Years Of Our Lives. And here's the review.

I have never seen this, and will probably pass on doing so. The only thing that is intriguing is your comments about the man who lost his hands (in general, as well as the get a grip comment in particular).

It's hard to believe that this is higher on the list than, say, Rear Window, From Here to Eternity, Raiders of the Lost Ark, or The Manchurian Candidate.

i saw this movie in my "gender, culture and identity in US history 1945-present" class. at least i think that's what the class was called. anyhoo. i expected to like it less than i did as well. i also don't remember it terribly well, but fondly, and it was nice to revisit some of it through reading this review. yeahyeahyeah!
