Note To Self
People don't comment on the political stuff. Interesting.

Comments
Are you expecting a comment about a referral to someone else's blog? Or on the content of the blog to which you refer (plenty of comments are posted elsewhere in the blogosphere about Digby's excellent commentary).
But, yes, it was excellent, and should be promulgated, referred to, linked to, and crammed down the throats of any paleolith who insists that this is a "right-to-life" issue and not a blatant political power grab by calculating repugs in both houses of Congress.
Better?

I meant here. I know there's great discussion going on on other blogs; it just seems that when I post anything political here, no one says anything. Thanks, though.

Lack of comments does not equal lack of interest and/or readership. I check this site out (at least) daily, sometimes more frequently. Keep it up -- we'll jump in!

Thanks. As much as I like to pretend I'm self-reliant and iconoclastic, I do get nervous when no one says anything. I do appreciate it.

Wow, you'd never survive on Fox News. Not that I'm saying you'd want to be on there in the first place...

For any number of reasons...

I read it. Don't always have opinions that differ. Was posting a lot about John Kerry during the pre-election hubbub.

How many conservatives support this Michael?? I can tell you the lack of support for this among Republicans is about 85% Very few conservatives welcome this insane trampling on the constitution! So it is only the very far-right 'speaking in tounges' crowd. You make it sound as if the Republican rank and file are behind this. If you want to point to Pat Boone, Jeb Bush and Tom DeLay as the faces of the Republican party, you are very mistaken. That is an ill informed generalization. We are not all zealots and fanatics! Please have facts at your command when you make such comments!!

Well, Servant, the rank-and-file Republicans may disagree with this...but we're not talking about some crazy extremists, we're talking about the _leadership of the party_. Pat Boone - OK, maybe he doesn't have a lot of power or influence. But Tom DeLay is the House Majority Leader. Bill Frist is the Senate Majority Leader. Jeb Bush is governor of one of the country's largest states, was recently considered a major frontrunner for the '08 nomination, and is the brother of the President. Honest conservatives may distance themselves from the way-far-right, but the Republican Party has sold their souls to the fringe.
