I thought I was the only person who called him Marky Mark! I spent all last season trying to get it to catch on, but it never did.

I had a link to this on my site a week or so ago and someone commented that it looks like he's wearing a Yankees shirt in the top photo. I keep staring, but I can't tell. This would be very upsetting if true.

Oh, dear god - I think you're right.

But the man always triumphs over the boy. Mark's in the right place, just like Tanyon Sturtze - a Worcester boy who we all rooted for - is now confined to the sixth circle of hell for drawing a paycheck from the Yankees.

And as for "Marky Mark", I picked it up from my roommate, who also called Mientkiewicz "Doug E. Fresh".

You're right! But in my mind Tanyon Sturtze was stripped of his native new englander status when he grabbed Kapler by the neck from behind. So not cool.
