Good Stuff
Some good stuff amidst the summer blahs.
The good news: Sooz and I found a great apartment right in the heart of Allston. There's a Herrell's right on the corner and it's right down the street from the Sunset Grill, where I had the best beer I've ever tasted in my life (the Anderson Valley Summer Solstice) as well as about 299 other beers available.
The better news: I'm an uncle! My brother Steve and his wife Debbie had their little peanut arrive last week: Aaron Joseph. Congratulations to the three of them. Aaron, I'll try to have my movie countdown done by the time you're 30.

Congratulations Uncle Mike!
Another citizen in Red Sox Nation, a life-long Democrat, and another reader for BunkoSquad.
It's all good.

An amazing little boy is Aaron.
Yes, he will be another reader for Bunkosquad, but he wil also undoubtedly be an independent thinker who will weigh any and all political candidates on their merits, and any baseball team on its intelligence. :)

I agree - he's wonderful.
However, I think we all know that every effort will be made to guide his thought such that he will be our nation's first Libertarian president (Vote Aaron in 2040!).
I have no opinion on his choice of baseball or basketball teams.

He's got my vote!
Let's also do away with the archaic Electoral College before then and have the President be the person who wins the Popular Vote. And since we expect Aaron to continue to be popular ...

Congrats on your little nephew!
Also, congrats, you are almost living in the same neighborhood as me now!!! (Brighton is stone's throw away.) WHOOHOOO!!!! Just beware of all the stale mods still posing about....

You just moved into the neighborhood I lived in when I first came to Boston. It's not quite the same without Bunratty's, but there's a lot of goodness in that area. The best tip I can give you is to try V Majestic on Brighton Ave (across from the Kells) for cheap, very tasty Vietnamese food. I almost cried when a friend introduced me to the place _after_ I'd moved away...I'd been eating the crappy, greasy Chinese food down the street.
