My Only Frame of Reference is Mob Movies

Is this how Michael Corleone felt when he faced Carlo down after the baptism?

Or how Michael felt when he realized Fredo was involved in the assassination attempt?

Or how Tony Soprano felt when he walked Big Pussy out to the boat for the final cruise?

Or maybe the scene from Midnight Run: "Hope it's a wonderful coffee shop, Steve."*

You're dead to me now, Johnny. You broke my heart. You broke my heart.

Hope it's a wonderful haircut.

*Thanks to sooz and i forgot what eight was for on Fark for coming up with the movie that came from

This seems an "Idiotic" move by Damon. Will he really like going to a city that will boo him the first time he fails in the clutch, or strikes out in a key situation, or fails to get a throw from center field into the infield as runners race around the bases? Yankee fans would tolerate that from Bernie Williams cause Bernie has history with the team. They won't from Damon.

He was idolized in Boston. Hmmm ... just like A-Rod was idolized in Seattle. How is A-Rod's move to New York working out? He won an MVP (one more richly deserved by David Ortiz), but he certainly has nowhere near the fan support that he used to have.

I will admit that his loss means more to the Red Sox than his gain means to the Yankees, but 4 years, $ 52 M? I think he'll have a good first year in NY, but by year 3 and 4 Yankee fans will be pining for the Bernie Williams of 2005.

Frankly, I was more worried that the Yankees would get Juan Pierre to play center field. He is younger and a lot faster. I'm just sorry that Pierre is not available for the Red Sox.

Hope you like the short hair, no beard look, too, Johnny. You and Mark Bellhorn can do commercials together in NY like you did in Boston sporting your new looks.

At least the Yankees now have Michelle Damon to compete with the Mets and Anna Benson. :)

Damon probably finds $52M (or however much it was) a lot more appealing than whatever fans think. The amount of money these people get paid to play a game is astounding. And then fans pay how much money to see them? It seems so ridiculous!

Sigh.....

That's all I can muster.
