Guess it's a good thing we can watch it again over the weekend via the iTunes season pass thingie! I thought I knew what was going on but I'm not so sure.

yeah... i think we're going to have to wait for next season for that one. the only thing i can think of is that maybe her father has something to do with the dharma intitiative (if that is even a real thing) and perhaps she knew that desmond was stuck there... but she didn't know exactly where there was. i dunno. now that she knows where the fluctuation in magnetic force was located she can go find him and they can be together. the part i don't get is why they let walt go and kept kate... what's up with that? of course, i could be wrong in all of this. but it's just a theory.

All right - I can understand that Penelope was taking an interest in Desmond's progress in the boat race. And I can even see that she might have somehow slipped a tracking device into Libby's boat. But that doesn't explain (1) how it took that massive electromagnetic disturbance to alert her, and (2) why it didn't happen the first time the countdown hit 0. (I also don't explain why Desmond didn't just TELL Locke what happened the first time the countdown hit 0, but this show's made a habit out of people witholding vital information)

I like that they dropped the idea that Penelope is rich and will go to any lenghts to get what she wants - so I'm ok with the concept of her tracking him, I just don't know the logistics.

It looks like "the whole thing is just in someone's head" is shot now, which is nice.
