You Stay Classy, San Diego

Have I mentioned I love the Patriots? Some notes:

  • It's been said before, but I think Marty Schottenheimer could botch a two-car funeral. What a bad job managing the second half.
  • On the other hand, I think that when the season is over, we should put Belichick and Brady in charge of the Iraq war. When there was 3:30 left and the Pats started their drive, I felt such a feeling of calmness and inevitability. I love these guys.
  • Here's the Chargers' contact page. As of 9:00 PM, the Chargers hadn't announced who may or may not be eligible to order AFC Championship tickets. Let me know if you hear anything.
  • 13 hours of football watching this weekend has convinced me of three things: Wendy's chicken meal is (whispers) $2.99. Roosters don't like it when you wake them up. And this is, despite anything you may have heard to the contrary, our country.
  • Peyton? We're coming....

Midnight Update: Is LaDainian Tomlinson's beef really "they celebrated their victory by imitating one of our players' victory celebrations, so they are classless"? Ooh, someone doesn't like being part of the MVP-sent-home-by-the-Pats club.

What a comeback by the Patriots. They were dominated for much of the game, with the possible exception of ~the last 3 minutes of the first half and ~the last 7 minutes of the game, and yet they won. Unbelievable.

Indy will be tough, but at least the Pats are there. Now we'll see what happens.
