2001

Strap yourselves into the pod, throw a bone into the air, drop some acid - the review of 2001: A Space Odyssey is up. 21 more to go. I know I've made some very poor decisions recently, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I've still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission.

I'm glad to have seen it too, but it's not a movie that I have looked forward to seeing again and again, like some others on this list.

Nice references to Ted Striker, the 1981 Topps set, William Shatner, etc.

You wouldn't trust HAL by his voice alone? I suppose, in this case, you'd be right. But just keep in mind that sometimes we have to get beyond our sonic prejudices (whatever they may be) and trust computers. Look how well it worked out for the 'Hoff and Kit.

(I'd be remiss if I didn't say something about 'Knightboat' here...and how there's always a canal, or an inlet, or a fjord...)

I have a craving to play Zaxxon now. Curses!

I have an entire photo album full of nothing but pictures of the family gathered 'round to watch Knightboat.
