Baseball Predictions 4/5
Yesterday: 5-9 (I forgot to pick the Phillies/Braves game, so I have to count it as a loss). Season to date: 19-18 (.514). Time to get serious.
Cubs (Marquis) over REDS (Milton)
TIGERS (Verlander) over Blue Jays (Chacin)
WHITE SOX (Buehrle) over Indians (Sowers)
Red Sox (Matsuzaka) over ROYALS (Greinke)
PHILLIES (Eaton) over Braves (James)
NATIONALS (Williams) over Diamondbacks (Gonzalez)
YANKEES (Mussina) over Devil Rays (Shields)
ANGELS (Saunders) over Athletics (Gaudin)
GIANTS (Morris) over Padres (Hensley)
Note: If my reverse psychology leads to the Pirates winning the NL Central, I want to throw out the first ball at an NLDS game.

If I had any pull in those matters, I'd gladly sponsor you for Game 1. Although deep down, I'd know the Bucs would have won it due to the NL Central being deprived of any real quality teams (defending world champs don't look like they're going to put up much of a defense).
But that's no matter right now. Right now is the time we just have to savor, before the bottom inevitably falls out, and people go to PNC Park for no purpose apart from staring at the downtown Pittsburgh skyline.
Look, I'm getting ahead of myself already...we still have a series on the road before the home opener.
Countdown to .500: 78 wins

Good 1st Major League game for Matsuzaka. Let's hope that there are a lot more games like this to come.
