Worst Celtic Ever

Awesome thread at CelticsBlog about who is the worst Celtic you have ever seen. It's extremely easy to rattle off a Greatest Celtic team, but how about the worst? Luckily, you only have to comb through about 15 seasons to find the dregs. My team may not be the "worst" ever, but it's the guys who I, to this day, shake my head that I ever rooted for even slightly. Either they didn't care, they cared only about themselves, they were draft busts, or something.

C: Travis Knight
F: Jerome Moiso, Vin Baker
G: Todd Day (captain), Sebastian Telfair
Bench: Pervis Ellison, Mark Blount, Kedrick Brown, Chris Herren, Joe Forte, Nate Driggers, Brett Szabo*
Coach: Don't even tell me you need to ask.

* (For diehards only: The last two are guys who were pulled off a construction site, suited up for the 1997 "Let's Get Tim Duncan" derby, and were never heard from again. The Witness Protection Program may be involved.)

C: Travis Knight
F: Curtis Rowe
F: Vin Baker
G: Todd Day
G: Kedrick Brown
Coach: Rick Pitino

Knight was always a step behind the play and the Celtics renounced the rights to Rick Fox and David Wesley, among others, to sign him. A typical Pitino backwards move.

Brown was a waste of a good draft pick obtained from Denver that could have been used a couple of years later on Carmelo Anthony.

Other than Kobe Bryant, I have never seen a more selfish player than Todd Day.

To conclude on a brighter note, the all-time Celtics team needs to make room for a newcomer:
C: Bill Russell
F: Larry Bird
F: Kevin Garnett
G: John Havlicek
G: Bob Cousy
Coach: Red Auerbach

What - no Sidney Wicks? Rex Morgan? Brad Lohaus?

Wicks/Rowe/Morgan are all before my time, I'm afraid. But good points. Brad Lohaus, I'll always think of as a good player because Milwaukee used to consistently kick my ass on the arcade version of NBA Jam (he was teamed with another mediocre Celtic, Blue Edwards). Not Mike Iuzzolino-good, but pretty good.

If you think you hate Rick Pitino, you should hear the invective spewed by those who attended school in Kentucky. My dad starts frothing at the mouth every time that guy's name comes up!

On a somewhat related note:

Even though you've probably already seen it/picked it apart.

Caroline's Dad is right. Rick Pitino (ptui!) is, was, and always will be a snake oil salesman. In addition, not only did he ruin the Celtics for years thanks to his constant roster turnover and poor player assessment, but he also pushed Red Auerbach aside to make sure that he had the title of President, then, THEN, he takes a job at Louisville, after coaching Kentucky. There weren't any other college jobs available? What a lack of class. Pitino? Ptui!

No Hank Finkel, Joe Klein, Slick Watts, Bob McAdoo, Dave Cowens for worst Celtics?
*Watts & McAdoo may have been good on other squads but disastorous for the Celtics system.
Cowens was VASTLY over rated and highly selfish.

No Jo Jo White, Don Nelson, Paul Silas, Kevin McHale for the best team, not even for the bench?
* The above are VASTLY unnder rated...
Jo Jo's sweet swish from 30 was poetry in motion.
