Dear Fenway Fans
Anybody who was doing the Wave last night in the eighth inning when the Sox were down by three, with two on and threatening for more, do everyone a favor. Give your tickets to someone who actually wants to be at a baseball game. Then you can go to the beach and frolic around all you want, or better yet, shoot yourself. I know you were still on your "Sweet Caroline" high, but seriously. Go to Dick's Last Resort or something and stop embarassing me.
UPDATE: I didn't watch the game last night (Lackey's near no-hitter) so I can't confirm this, but if they indeed played "Sweet Caroline" last night and people were indeed singing about how they feel "so good! so good! so good!" while the Red Sox were being no-hit, well. These people need to die in a fire. The sooner the better.

I agree. Interestingly, and nicely, there was no wave done at Fenway Friday night during the Red Sox-Yankees game. Good!
However, at that game, there were two beach balls being bounced around the stands --- in the first inning. Come on, folks, let's watch the game!

Amen. Seconded. Hear Hear. And whatever else means "I totally agree".
Hell, I'm not a ballpark wave fan in general, but at that particular moment last night? Worst.

I think it's the last place in the US where the wave takes place. I's embarrassing. I don't partake, I discourage my kids from partaking.
I could ALMOST see it being at least a little bit acceptable in a 14-2 game or something, but invariably it's in a crucial situation.

Hi, Im a true devoted sox fan. When my team is winning you can watch me brag about how great fenway fans are. Beachballs in the stand are so great and makes us special because theyre popped in other stands. It shows that sox fans are better fans than others because we have fun at games. We do the wave too when we're winning. But if we lose or are losing, its just rude for people to even speak. I mean come on, what are you, soccer fans? If the sox are losing, sit on your hands and have an awful time at the game you just spent $60+ to go see; thats just respect.
