Flip Ohio, North Carolina and Nevada into the Red and you've got mine.

As a North Carolina resident (for all of three months - but I intend to be here permanently, hear that UNC residency committee?) I resent being called a real American.

Rev!

Don't you call NC a red state! We're working hard here!

Posted by: Josh | October 28, 2008 09:13 AM

come to NH with me this weekend to make that one a reality...

I hope that you're right.

My prediction is one of two things, either:
1) a BIG Obama victory
2) some last minute McCain/Palin trick or nasty accusation or robocall or something will work well enough in enough states to give them a win.

Mr. W.-->

I meant not to imply some deficiency in your efforts, but rather to say that old habits die hard.

Also, upon further consideration I'll flip Nevada back into the blue and put Missourah into the red.

Also, should North Carolina flip, I'll be happy to send you a congratulatory case of blueberry beer.

Sounds like a deal. I will send you some Duck Rabbit if Utah goes blue. Jess has been campaigning almost every day. Yesterday she dragged me out canvassing. It was actually a lot of fun. We were lucky to be in an overwhelmingly black, liberal, lower-middle-class neighborhood, which meant that they were mostly "high information voters" who had already voted. But it was still very nice to talk to them.

We only got one white guy, who said things like "I am still weighing the issues" "the most important ones to me are social security and health care, but there are lots of issues to weigh." These are your white democratic "undecided voters" and I am sorry to say that there is almost no way in hell he is voting for a black man, no matter how much he agrees with him. That being said, Jess did get one convert last week, so there is some hope.

I have all my fingers crossed, especially since every black person we talked to either had already voted or knew everything about voting already. We'll know soon!

And finally, as for blame, after I told CP that Jess is campaigning, he said that he would give us credit if Obama wins NC, and blame if he loses. I told CP "deal", as long as he accepted the same proposition regarding SC. He backed off.
