Dan Shaughnessy Hates You
That's the only explanation for yesterday's "column" where he uses a fake chat transcript between Curt Schilling and Red Sox fans to make it absolutely clear that Dan Shaughnessy hates both Curt Schilling and Red Sox fans.
That's in today's Sports Redux at Bostonist, along with the most astounding three minutes of basketball I've ever seen.

You Provide the Content: Baseball Music
So Jon and I have decided we need to start a letter-writing campaign to make Soul Coughing's "Super Bon Bon" the official song they play at Fenway when Papelbon comes in from the bullpen.
So I'll throw this out to the panel: what's your walk-up song? What do you want to hear the PA blaring when you come up to bat or out of the 'pen?
I'll throw a few of mine out: "The Mountain Song" by Jane's Addiction; "Waiting Room" by Fugazi; "Lounge Fly" by Stone Temple Pilots (even if it was used for MTV News); or "Go" by Pearl Jam.
Your turn; maybe we can at least come up with something to help David Wright.

Best Baseball Card Ever
Have you seen the 2007 Topps card of Derek Jeter? It features Mickey Mantle and George W. Bush. Unbelievable.
I was looking on the Internets to find a funny older baseball card for illustration (like this misprinted card that says "Barry Bonds" but has a picture of a wiry, normally-proportioned man instead), but in my research I stumbled upon The Baseball Card Blog, which I am recommending and adding to my blogroll without delay.
